Products/Industrial Waste Water Treatment
UNIHA Water Treatment Process
involves removal or recovery of waste water constituents harmful to any specific point of disposal and to environment in general.

Domestic, community and many sorts of industrial waste water are treated by biological purification process, whereas many other industrial wastes have to be purified by physical/chemical treatment methods.
For biological treatment process, there are at least eight typical models, plus some conventional modifications for these models.
Waste Water Quality
Waste water constituents are typi-cally classified under:
Coarse and fine particles - sand - oil/fat - suspended solids, which mostly are settleable - BOD, COD-nitrogen and phosphorous contents - microorganisms - specific parameters, like pH, heavy metals, CN etc.

Source Characteristics Treatment
Food Industries
Breweries high nitrogen and carbohydrates biological treatment, recovery, animalfeed
Canneries high solids and BOD screens, lagoons, irrigation
Dairies
high fat, protein, and carbohydrate biological treatment
Fish
high BOD, odour evaporation, burial, animal feed
Meat processing
high protein and fat (may be warm) screens, Sedimentation, flotation, biological treatment
Pickles high BOD, high or low pH. high solids screening, flow equalisation, biologicaltreatment
Soft drinks high BOD and solids screening, biological treatment
Sugar high carbohydrate lagoons, biological treatment
Chemical Industries
Acids low pH, low organics neutralisation
Detergents high BOD and phosphate flotation, precipitation
Explosives high organics and nitrogen. trinitrotoluene chlorination or TNT precipitation
Insecticides high organics, toxic to biological Systems dilution, adsorption, chlorination at high pH
Material industries
Foundries high solids (sand. clay, and coal) screens, drying
Oil dissolved solids, high BOD. odour. phenols injection, recovery of oils
Paper variable pH, high solids Sedimentation, biological treatment
Plating acid, heavy metals, cyanide toxic to biological Systems neutralisation,
Rubber high BOD and solids. odour biological treatment
Steel low pH, phenols, high suspended solids neutralisation, coagulation
Textiles high pH, and BOD, high solids neutralisation, precipitation, biological treatment
